Retrospective

These paintings can be considered “side effects of excessive creativity” as its creator, Gaviglia Armando, points out repeatedly.

Representing nearly every type of work Gaviglia made from the fifties until nineties, in both technique and subject matter, this retrospective includes paintings, drawings, and prints etc. Various painting techniques have prevailed over others in different periods of his life. All this creation is linked to curiosity and desire for experimentation.

In this space we can find collages, oils, paints nitro, cardboard, surrealist paintings, drawings and engravings and sculptures. A walk through this space is indicative of the potential and ability to diversify and reinvent of Gaviglia Armando.

We were here, with the wonder of the witnesses of Art. We were filled with pupils from a different world and press for being, to breathe, to move and to talk with his language, outside of restrictive framework.
